Scenarios & Premises

There are different approaches with Abigail that will affect a storyline. It basically depends on whether we presume that James Moriarty faked his death or that he really died on the roof of St. Bart's.
Depending on that simple difference Abby will have different resources, influence and respond to specific situations in a certain way.
Think of it as difficulty options ;)

Scenario 1 — The Nightingale

This scenario is based on James faking his death and still pulling the strings in the background. Even if the world believes he is dead Abigail's influence doesn't go much further than described in the rest of her bio.
Little resources, but knows how to put them to use effectively. In this scenario she is mentally stable and a lot less stressed. Her influence is limited to the club and her partners/employees.
At best she will work with Moriarty.

Scenario 2 — The Black Widow

The premise here is that James Moriarty really is dead or at least has vanished entirely, leaving an empty spot at the top of the food chain.
In this scenario Abigail will pretty much pick up where he left off and rebuild the network from scratch. That means her influence and resources are almost unlimited and she becomes London's most dangerous criminal.
However, that comes with a price. She will be severly stressed, mentally more unstable and constantly in the crosshairs of people who want to take over, see her dead or just neutralise her.
Basically, she becomes "the next Moriarty".

Personality

In spite of rumours about her being a rather hostile individual Abigail's middle name could easily be 'courtesy'. Unless one gives her a reason to behave differently she will be very polite and obliging. However, one should always be careful around her. Get in her hair and her entire demeanour will change in no time. Worst case scenario: she feels threatened and will try to get rid off you entirely. Apart from that she can come off as rather arrogant and posh, but most of that is pretence. At her core Abigail is a highly unstable and insecure person who has built up high walls to protect herself from getting hurt. Her past is to blame for that. But she would never admit how broken she actually is.
Unsurprisingly the German is a huge flirt and will hit on pretty much anyone she finds even remotely attractive — sometimes very subtly, sometimes very directly. It really depends on the situation at hand. In most cases it's hardly more than teasing her opposite, really. Although with specific individuals she can become rather obsessive (people like Sherlock Holmes, James Moriarty, etc fall into that category).
Should she ever become overwhelmed with a situation or person Abby might leave abruptly and not come back until a larger span of time has passed.
Most times she is incredibly selfish and you should always second-guess her intentions. If she does something for you without expecting anything in return however, all she may want is your undivided attention. And should she not get what she desires she will become incredibly stubborn.
